Delicious!. Nick's Deli is great! Really a little piece of New York here in Chattanooga! The service is quick and friendly! The hot pastrami on rye is the best in Chattanooga and the Ruben is absolutely excellent! If you didn't try it, you disappeared! We will definitely come back! View all feedback.
Great. I tried and loved Nick's Deli last week. I asked the owner to make me a cheese sandwich (Deli style) with what he recommended. It was incredible. The younger man recommended the Italian cream cake. It was a huge piece (top for three desserts), with what I think was crushed almonds. It was one of the best desserts I found in a chattanooga restaurant. I found it funny that my mother said that the restaurant was spending, but I paid 5.99 for a good sandwich I could barely eat and she often pays up to $10 for a duck somewhere else. If you love a high quality sandwich, you will love this place. If you're chasing something cheap, you could find a sandwich for a dollar, somewhere else. I highly recommend you are a sandwich owner.
My roommate and I were in hixson and needed lunch. The sandwiches were delicious.
A bit of the French Quarter on Hixson Pike. If you are not from the Hixson area, you may not even know this little gem is even exists. The Nick's I remember was from downtown on 7th St during the late 90's early 00's and it appears that this one and the same only a different menu now. After passing by several times and noticing that Nick's proudly serves Boar Head Meats and Cheeses I knew that I couldn't go wrong. I dropped in during lunch one afternoon and upon walking in I was a bit confused. The inside looks kinda like a Bodega (think small grocery story with nothing on the shelves that hints of what might or might not being sold through the back). Once section had floor shelves with nothing on them. I found it a bit strange, but maybe there is some plans for the future who knows. There was not debate on what I wanted as I quickly saw the Muffuletta. I remember many years ago traveling to New Orleans to find a little sandwich shop in the hear of the French Quarter. In the window was this large mysterious sandwich that I had never seen before. That French Quarter delight has often been duplicated, replicated, and ever disgraced. That's the problem with going to the place of origin for a particular food and then having those same expectations where ever you go hereon after. Most places have a slight version that is a Muffaletta in theory. There always seems to be one or two things that are not quite right. It's either the cheese quality, the authenticity of the bread and most certainly the olive salad. In my quest to find the same sandwich without having to travel eight plus hours I must say Nick's comes quite close. The quality ingredients shined though and most certainly help make this close to the original. The olive salad was very good, but was not the same as I was hoping for some Giardiniera (for you rednecks that JAR-day-near ya) which consist of some cauliflower, carrots, celery mixed in with the olive salad. The sandwich is very large and good easily satisfy two people. This place is a must try
Very good sandwiches but a little pricey. Big enough to share with someone.
Just went for the first time and honestly it's a place that makes me feel good. Great food, I had a specialty wrap and it tasted so fresh and good quality. Saw the owner slice up the meat he needed for it right then and there! Will start making this place a favorite. Owner was real nice too! If you haven't tried it yet then you're missing out
