Reviews praise Bar Amigo’s friendly atmosphere, generous Latin dishes and group hospitality, but mention occasional rushed service, room‑temperature wine and basic coffee.
Lovely little restaurant. The lady owner is lovely and remembered us from previous visits. Food good size and always hot! Drinks also need to be tried
First time was good. Second time was as good as the first .lovely food lovely restaurant lovely staff.
My friends and I visited Amigos last night. The food was good, but the staff were incredibly rude. I had to go search for them in order to order a drink, as they were busy chatting in the back. No one came to check on our food. When we finished eating, the server came over and immediately asked if we wanted the bill, trying to rush us out the door. The bill included a service charge of £16, which I personally didn't feel they deserved. When we asked about it, the server was extremely rude and replied, "Well, do you want it back or not?" We decided to just pay it, but we were not happy with the service. As we were leaving, the server's response was simply, "Perfect, bye." I would not go back to this restaurant, as the staff were awful.
Lovely night out. Really nice food and good service. It also has a gin and tequila bar upstairs on the weekends. Definitely recommend
I have dined at this restaurant before and have always enjoyed the good food and service. The menu offers basic Mexican and South American dishes, nothing extraordinary. Despite being a small restaurant with limited indoor space, I was surprised to see all tables occupied with minimal distance between them, not ideal for those concerned about social distancing during the current pandemic.

Regulars say Bar Amigo will sometimes reshuffle the dining room to squeeze in a last‑minute party — one group of 23 was handled smoothly — and on the rare occasion of a booking hiccup staff have offered a complimentary jug of sangria as an apology. If you're planning a celebration, a quick call ahead can unlock some helpful flexibility.
