Love the BBQ and the service is always great. But here recently the atmosphere of the restaurant has changed, plus some of the menu items have disappeared. It just doesn't seem to have the same vibe when it first started. View all feedback.
What Gloria Burr doesn't like about Jim 'n Nick 's:
The ribs used to have an excellent smoked pit flavor now they taste as if baked or boiled. What happened to the great smoked flavor? 9/3/2024 I ordered the rib family feast and was disappointed. This was my spit but after today I'm rethinking this. The ribs were old, grayish, and dry. I didn't notice until I reached my destination. This is the second time I've been disappointed. Whatever worked before get it back. Wh... View all feedback.
Had a family birthday outing here and enjoyed myself immensely. I 've been to Jim 'N Nicks 's in different locations but usually just got a sandwich. This time I decided on the pulled pork platter with their BBQ corn on the cob, coleslaw, and the cheese muffins. That combination was amazing and I 'm still thinking about it. Especially liked the changes to the place which opens it up and brightens up the place. Couldn 't have asked for a better experience!
This was my second time ordering ahead of time and the service was great. My only complaint is they don't cook their greens long enough and they could use some more seasoning.
Great BBQ! The sauces are made in house and are awesome compliments to well smoked meats. Had a very full belly when I left and was quite happy.
I 've been coming to this location since it opened. My, has it changed, not exactly for the better. I get it: cost vs. value is objective. Inflation is kicking everyone 's budgets. However, the absolute shrinkage of portion sizes compared to the oversized prices makes Jim 'N Nick 's out of bounds for my small family. Oh, well. First World problems, right?
Haven 't been here in a long time, since before their remodel. The remodel looks great and very inviting. My friend and I got seated in one of the small side rooms. It was not comfortable at all. The chairs in this room were super uncomfortable and didn 't fit well for me as a plus size woman. We asked to be moved and they moved us no problem. Now let 's talk about the food. My friend and I both got the loaded potatoes. The potato itself was tuff maybe it 's how they cook them. My friend got the pulled pork. He got a really good sizable amount of pulled pork it was looking good. Then I looked down at mine and I got chopped brisket and was disappointed it wasn 't much of anything. Also let 's just say my brisket was one step away from being bacon because it was so dried out. My portion of brisket was so small. I thought to myself this is all? Had I not drowned it in BBQ sauce it would have tasted not so great. Very very dry and tuff. The Biscuits are always good but almost needed to be cooked a bit longer. Service.. it was just ok. It seemed like everyone wasn 't having a good day. Our server was nice but he seemed like he disappeared so much or didn 't have a rhythm to how he checked on tables. Based on the food I 'm like ... Did the remodel take away from the food? Or maybe just better luck next time.
