Prufer's rest... read more This restaurant is located in the small (and very beautiful) village of Hinterzarten. We got there by accident but found a rare eating experience. Prufer's restaurant is a superb restaurant serving great and tasty German dishes. The service is great and friendly, the ambiance nice and cozy, the food is exceptional, and everything is done in a modest and professional way. A special bonus for Vegans is that this restaurant will modify some of the dishes to fit Vegan's strict requirements. My son, who is a Vegan, enjoyed one of the best Vegan meals ever.This place is worth a special trip, I shall definitely make efforts to arrive again.

I am originally from Sydney but have worked and travelled all over the world. This is some of the best fusion cuisine I have ever sampled; the combination of ingredients is impeccable. The flavours are sublimely balanced, beautifully presented and the service is the perfect balance of personal and professional. Wine selection is wonderful,and the food is locally sourced. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I am writing this at the table directly after enjoying the 5 Course evening menu,the portion sizes were perfect; generous but not overwhelming, and fantastic value for money given the quality of the food!
