Was TJG at Eagle a mag?
Great local dining in an area of the Finger Lakes where food options can be limited. Small and quaint from the outside, with plenty of seating and bar space. Outdoor seating available. Delicious entrees and soups. One of the best beer-battered fish fries I've had and I try many. Light batter coating stays crisp. Excellent mushroom-sherry soup and New England clam chowder. What Jonathan Evans dislikes about Eagle:
Our meal started off with our salads coming before our appetizer. Our shrimp appetizer was awful. I ordered a $30 Delmonico steak that was served to me raw they cooked me a second steak and serve that one raw as well. I finally paid my bill and left and I'm now going back to the cottage to cook my own dinner View all feedback.

Good food, nice clean place, staff was very attentive and thoughtful, and I believe it was the owner that came out and chatted with my wife and a couple times to make sure we were enjoying everything.
I ordered Chicken Parmesan which costs $22 and New England soup for $6 to take out, but I got a tiny quantity meal tiny chicken cutlet, 4 broccoli, smidgen noodles) and a tiny cup of soup, won't ever order anymore! ?

Went for the first time on a Saturday for prime rib and was very disappointed. It definatly was not fresh. My wife ordered rare and I ordered mid rare. Neither was even close to what was ordered. Mine came grilled and was.more than well done. They replaced it but was actually cold on the bottom and the fat was still congealed and not even close to mid rare and inedible. To be fair they did not charge me for my meal but neither did my wife eat hers.
