Love this place. Just got here today but I am sure we will be back here again. Really really nice place. We have a 2 bedroom villa and I don’t know if it could set up any better. Very clean and everything is like new and updated. View all feedback.
What Chris Boggiano doesn't like about Marriott's Barony Beach Club:
We arrived at 11:30am today and figured we’d wait at the pool until our room was ready to check in by 4pm. The front desk told us we’d go in the queue for a room based on our arrival time. Unfortunately, several other families arrived later and got rooms within 1-2 hours. It’s now past 4pm and we’ve just been told our room won’t be ready for at least another hour (which I don’t entirely trust). This is definitely a f... View all feedback.
We were here hours before Debby arrived, so we had to cut our vacation short The Barony was delightful and pleasant. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of towels and amenities available for the family. I really enjoyed everything but the guests were not as friendly as when we have stayed on the South Side of the Island The location is in a terrific spot for biking, beach access, and a playground for kids with in walking distance Although it wasn’t sunshine and butterflies
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. My only problem with the wonderful week we had was the obviously watered down alcoholic drinks being served. The drinks are expensive and it should be expected to not get scammed on the booze. That was very disappointing. $20 for a rum bucket that was nothing more than a bucket of fruit punch. We have been to this resort several times and don't remember the drinks being like that before. Hopefully this gets addressed.
Great location, food and facilities! Right on the beach.
Overall, a positive experience. Would have been nice to have a daily beverage on the porch...not just on check in days. The beach is gorgeous and the resort lovely. As a first timer to Hilton Head, I didn't know there is so little to do on the island. My group did not play golf and we spent about 3 hours a days either on the beach or at the pool. Just a bit bored.
Wow. Even for an older property, it is well kept and modernized. Beach access is great. The slide at the adjacent pool is a hit! Food quality is pretty typical for the pricepoint. Nothing special, but very convenient and fast. Close to Publix and Whole Foods, shopping, etc. Quieter area for sure.
