Tabaraka - Hilo

My husband and I tried the falafel sandwich and fries at this restaurant and they were delicious! We highly recommend it if you find yourself in Hilo!

I really like the food at this restaurant. It is unique compared to other places in town. However, the only downside is the extremely long wait time for food preparation. The speed at which food is prepared and served at Tabaraka can only be described as glacial. I ordered three sandwiches an hour ago and I am still waiting for them. In the last 60 minutes, they were only able to complete three orders, resulting in a total of six plates of food. This averages out to two workers producing one sandwich every ten minutes, which is quite impressive. Despite the wait time, I do still enjoy the food here.

Great Lebanese food. The babaganoush and wraps are served quickly. The preparation takes a bit longer, but the delicious food is worth the wait. I am looking forward to their move from a food truck to a full restaurant. Definitely worth a visit in Downtown Hilo, especially compared to other dining options.

I had to order the vegan mezze plate and an extra falafel sandwich for our Mauna Kea stargazing picnic, my friend. The food was fantastic! The falafel was great, the baba ganoush was delicious, and the hummus was generous in portion size. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again!
