What Emily Colburn doesn't like about R J Texas Style Bbq On Wheels:
We went today. Not only was everyone all over the road and there was no other customers there, this is what we got. 16$ before taxes. 2 of these and regular French fries cost 39$. Cold and soggy fries and the pork was all fat on my sisters. Will not be returning. Edit to add this was before it was eaten no fries had been consumed yet. 16$!! A piece! View all feedback.
I just happened to be traveling through the area getting propane for my RV and then followed my nose. You could smell barbecue coming from a travel trailer in the back of their place. Heck of an idea! I went with the three meat combo, BBQ chicken, sausage, and stuffed chicken. It was all so good. No way in the world could I eat it all! This is two meals and a snack for$30, can't beat that! Yum! Highly recommended!

This is our new favorite restaurant!
This hands down is some of the worse BBQ I have ever had. we were the only ones in the store. your assistant by an older lady who had zero ounce of friendliness. We bought a three meat plater. pulled pork and pulled chicken and sausage. we got two sides big beans and macaroni and cheese. The meats were flavorless and were dry. The bbq sauce was aweful. and we were only offered one flavor sauce.. Macaroni Tastes exactly like something you get from craft. We left the plate and did not eat what we bought. Please look into your customer service and work on food because it needs some flavor
My husband and I ordered 2 days ago. One thing I will say is that my husband got the Brisket and loved it. The fries were somewhat soggy, but we actually liked them like that lol. However, the fact that my fries had more flavor than the seafood etouffe blew my mind. I paid $24 for that, and it tasted like water- like there was no salt or any of the creole seasonings. I was having serious cravings, so I was thinking some OG seafood from a southern place would really hit the spot. It smelled so good, then i tasted it I wanted to cry lol. The design looks really nice inside, and the servers are very sweet. My husband speculates that their specialty may just not be the seafood, but maybe i just got a bad plate. I'm hoping they improve their recipe over time. I could've done better. I've had Gumbo I thought it would taste similar. First time i had Etouffe, and regret getting it from here. I really do wish you guys the best, but I was just really dissappointed that day, could've gotten much better for the money.
The food was amazing. We expected it to be good but our expectations were greatly exceeded. Not your run-of-the-mill Cisco frozen food you find in most modern establishments. This is the real deal, home-cooked, farm to table dining, at its best. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back again. Great portions too!
