Stark House Tavern - Weare

I ordered beef short ribs off the menu….quite pricey…..what came was a plate of pot roast covered in gravy…..pretty disappointing pot roast is an economical cut of beef and should have been half the price of short ribs….not a great substitution….

Meh...not my type of place. Early dinner at 3pm. Place was maybe half full and still really noisy. Food was just okay.

My husband has been here many times during lunch breaks for work, this was the first time we've gone as a family. Our server was super nice and attentive. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was delicious, I just wish I had a different option for cheese as I'm not a huge fan of American. I'm sure if I had asked it could have been accommodated. The wings and tots were amazingly tasty. I was really happy to see there was a kids menu available though it's not listed online.

My husband and I have been living in the area for 6 years, and embarrassingly enough, have never been here until last night. We sat at the bar next to another couple who were very nice. We started with some drinks and teriyaki and triple play wings. They were good, though I am not much of a sauce on my wing's person. For dinner, I got a fried chicken sandwich while my husband ordered a burger. I ate very little, only because I was full from the wings. The onion rings were amazing food was fresh, reasonably price and the service was amazing. A must stop if you're in the area. We can't wait to return soon!

Very very good food! It’s homemade and well worth the wait!
