My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had a terrible stay due to the condition of our bed, as other reviewers noted.(see photo) The bed is so worn out, it had two huge dips on each side and we could not get comfortable. What KimW110 doesn't like about Holiday Inn Portland West Hillsboro, An Ihg:
We stayed here for two nights and travelled all the way from Canada, paying a considerable sum to stay here. We had the worst sleep ever due to the uncomfortable beds that have large dips on either side of the mattress and no matter what we did, we could not get comfortable. It’s unfortunate, as we were both tired for the family reunion. I’ve read other reviews who said the same thing, so the hotel is very aware that... View all feedback.
Upon entering the lobby, you're impressed, but it pretty much stops there. For a newer hotel, the rooms were adequate, but the mattresses were cheap and impossible to get a good night's sleep (especially with all the noise from the room above us). Breakfast was a disgrace ... $16 for scrambled eggs and bacon, on paper plates with cheap plastic utensils. Let's not forget the $10/day to park the car! Nah, I won't be back.

It’s unfortunate, as we were both tired for the family reunion. I’ve read other reviews who said the same thing, so the hotel is very aware that the beds need to be replaced. It’s a shame because Holiday Inn is normally our go to. We also wish that there was fresh coffee, which would have been nice with our lack of sleep. We are IHG members and do not want to taint all holiday Inns, as the one in Marysville, Washington was the absolute best stay ever on our way to Portland.
This hotel is clean and well maintained. We stayed at this property 5 years ago and it still seems in the same condition as back then. They have a lot of parking spots and they are all pretty wide. I believe they also offer EV charging spots. They don’t offer free breakfast but you can pay for it at their onsite restaurant. There is free coffee and a great selection of tea available though. We did not use the Wi Fi, gym or the pool and can’t comment on those. The staff is very friendly and did I mention platinum members get delicious cookies while checking in. We also asked for hot water for tea late in the evening and they made sure we got that right away. My gripe is regarding 2 things parking fees and only offering on demand house keeping. This hotel is not located close to down town and is rather in a industrial area but charge $10/night for parking. We stayed for 3 nights and were good without housekeeping but for longer stays it seems like a pain to keep requesting for new towels, vacuuming etc.
The hotel and rooms were beautiful! The staff, especially the bar tender, were extremely helpful and friendly! Only complaints were that the pool was extremely cold and not heated and the hot tub was discolored a grungy green. My husband, who works in maintenance and has years of experience with pool and spa cleanliness, was concerned that the spa needed some major attention. Other than that, our stay was good.
