I had the parmy and the authe... read more The fiance and I had our first taste of Zenos cafe on the boardwalk I'm hillarys and I have to admit the food is pretty darn fine. I had the parmy and the authentic tomato sauce was the winner. The chicken could have done with a minute shorter for a moist piece of chicken. Along side was a little ceasar salad. It was ok but felt there was a slight fishy taste. The beef burger that the fiance had was pure luxury with great fresh flavors and the beef patty tasted so real and fresh. Overall the prices were steep but definitely worth the price. Staff was very friendly.

I have visited every venue over many decades, few have come close to impressing me in any way whatsoever. Zeno's cafe is about alI I can recommend to others for decent food and ambiance at an affordable price on the entire boardwalk. All of the various 'fish and chip' style meals served are quite well cooked and delivered promptly. The restaurant has been updated a few times over the years, I have always found it casual and very comfortable with the bonus of icy cold air conditioning at most times. I was disappointed when an old favourite of mine was removed from the menu, the 'Garlic Chicken', it was simple yet stunning to taste. The view of the harbour and large fish tank definitely add value to the restaurant, and staff are friendly and efficient. Amongst a plethora of disappointments at the harbour, this would have to be the rustic gem to visit.
