Absolutely appalling, save your money, basically paid $63 for 2 cups of coffee because that was the only thing that was any good. I ordered Thai green curry with prawns and after a long wait was given luke warm pumpkin soup with 4 dry shrivelled shrimp in it, my wife couldn't eat her meal either, never going there again. What Luella Nienow doesn't like about Spinnakers Restaurant:
I took my 96 year old mum here for lunch. Our meal was good, although I ordered a beef curry which was nice but hardly a hint of curry in it! Mum had the salmon cakes and enjoyed them. This café has a nice outlook across the water. It's spacious enough for someone with a walker to manage without being a nuisance to others. Parking is quite good. The staff are all pleasant. I have one complaint which is that the first... View all feedback.
We first arrived hearing someone complaining their sauce with meal was not fresh. Waiter just said 'chef says it is' and walked off. After a long wait we were given our order. Wrong order. It was fish burger. I can't eat fish. Finally our real order came. Pulled pork burger. Don't bother. It was so wet that bread kept falling apart, slopping the food all over the place. Wedges were obviously kept from our 'wrong' order and were just warm and soggy. Meanwhile someone else was complaining they hadn't got their order at all. Finally we shared a chocolate brownie. Stale , tasteless and hard. This place when I visited a few years ago was fantastic. What happened?? It has a beautiful location, shame about the food. Coffee wasn't too bad.
Our favorite breakfast place.has been very disappointing over last couple of visits but we love the location so have kept supporting despite the disappointment.Happy to say breakfast on 22ndApril2017 was great. Good service, no long wait for food, and 4 of us enjoyed our meal.long may it continue and hopefully some more good reviews
I would just like to say a huge thank you to the staff of Spinnakers Restaurant! We came for a special lunch to welcome our friend Pauline back from holiday! The meals were great, no complaints! Setting lovely! Great company and friendly efficient staff, who were very courteous and did a fantastic job! Thanks a million for making our lunch such a success! It was very much enjoyed by everyone! Good luck in the future!

I heard on the grape vine this place was under new management - otherwise I wouldn't have bothered trying it again for lunch....we had to because Mia Cucina didn't open for another half an hour.But.... It still sucks. Well, the service does anyway.... We never got to try the food again. We didn't get a warm welcome / greeting but were grudgingly shown to a table in the lifeless, sterile room with no atmosphere and no music. We ordered a cup of tea and after waiting 20 minutes for it and being unable to get the waitresses' attention despite very obvious body language and the fact we'd been ther for 20 minutes and no one had bothered to approach us since seating us, we walked out. The young couple on the table next to us even got up and reminded the waitress they were waiting to order also. We figured if they'd been there before we arrived and haven't ordered yet we'd be waiting an extraordinary time too.So we walked back to Mia Cucina and were greeted ever so warmly and were seated and given a drink immediately. We told them about yet another bad experience at Spinnakers and vowed this time never to return.A few minutes later an elderly table of 4 from Spinnakers arrived at Mia Cucina!!!!
