We were met by very welcoming staff and the atmosphere continued during a very pleasant lunch. A good range on the menu made it difficult to choose but our choices were excellent. A must return. View all feedback.
What Jocelyn D doesn't like about Flinderz Cafe:
I wonder what has happened to this once beautiful cafe in a lovely area. Table service has gone, unhappy looking staff dressed in a mish mash of hoodies and gym gear serving food to tables. Cluttered counter tops with boxes, dusty ornaments, an array of clothing and bric a brac for sale for customer to look through while listening to loud music, and a T.V ??...seriously. Bravo to the best dressed cook/chef for prepar... View all feedback.
This is the best coffee I've ever had! will definitely be back here and the staff is so nice
Ordered a chicken salad with chickpeas and hommus, cauliflower and pumpkin and eggplant, with chilli dressing A Lebanese dish . The dish arrived and it consisted of a huge blob of hommus and chick peas, grilled chicken and two tiny florets of cauliflower and three 1cm pieces of pumpkin, not an eggplant in sight. The person I was eating lunch with returned her meal as the description on the menu was not what we were served. I was the fool who waited a good 10mins for the eggplant to arrive. My mistake, I should have returned the meal. It must count as the most tasteless chicken dish I have had for a long time. I am sure that the chilli was chopped capsicum it was completely...read more
The service and ambience at Flinderz are lovely really friendly and prompt service and the alfresco area is nice and bright. A perfect spot for breakfast. I ordered the smashed avocado with a side of smoked salmon. The lime and chilli on top added a nice twist and I really enjoyed it. My partner ordered the big breakfast but said it was just average and that the scrambled eggs were overcooked and a bit rubbery. I would go here again if I was in the Hillary's area.
Delicious dinner at Flinderz tonight, good to see the friendly new management serving up some tasty, well priced fare. Calamari entree was excellent accompanied with a nice salad and creamy dressing, very generous serving! Juicy pork chops (two!!! with mash on the specials menu, a big chicken parma crunchy chips! Great local spot, especially with Friday Parma and Saturday steak night specials. We will be back!
First impressions of Flinderz under new management was positive. Feel: fitting for brunch I really like this establishment and their alfresco area. It’s actually an ideal setting for brunch with friends/partners. Staff: great The staff are friendly and accommodating to people with food requirements. Food: Hit and miss, but good portion size overall Pancakes were great, zucchini corn fritter was ok. If I could offer some constructive criticism it would be that the ratio of fritter to salsa is a bit off (a bit less oily fritter and a little more zesty salsa) and that the fritter was a bit over cooked (as can be seen from photo). Apart from that I can see their vision, and I feel the...read more
