What Dominique Trommer doesn't like about Shieldaig Bar And Coastal Kitchen:
My visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. Despite appealing photos and glowing comments on social media, the reality was quite the opposite. No local and fresh products were to be found! The food was of mediocre quality, almost inedible. I strongly advise against relying on attractive images on social media or positive comments. This restaurant does not live up to its online portrayal at all. If you'... View all feedback. What Georgia Hall likes about Shieldaig Bar And Coastal Kitchen:
this restaurant of the coast kitchen in shieldaig is actually the only one in this small fishing village on the west coast of the Scottish highlands. it is a small place, and the kitchen prepares local specialities and many seafood dishes from the beginning of the day. it is also the ideal place for a drink in the evening, a perfect place to sit on the terrace overlooking the sea! read moreNestled in the picturesque village of Shieldaig, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences that have left some patrons disappointed while delighting others. Diners have encountered long wait times and service that lacks attentiveness, leading to frustration over order errors and inadequate wine selections. In contrast, many have praised the fresh seafood, generous portions, and warm atmosphere that captures the essence of Scottish hospitality. While some lament a limited winter menu, others rave about the flavorful offerings and delightful coffee. Whether you leave enchanted or underwhelmed, Shieldaig remains a notable stop along the NC500 route.
