What natb154 doesn't like about Roads End Cafe:
Visited here and ordered food. It was terrible. Turkey stuffing sandwich was off. That was for my son who was 9 and so glad he did not eat it. Pea and ham soup so watered down it tasted like dish water. Terrible experience. Would advise going to storehouse over the road and give this a miss but it wasnt open shame. Will give the girl her due waiting on asking how it was and apologising but we should of got refund ins... View all feedback.
A small, rustic shed that was beautiful, but was simply turned to offer the best café experience I ever had. the menu is concise, but they can really say that it is all made right to home to exquisite quality. the suppe and the cake were to die and the look at the seaside was magical. a real tasty bite. a visit is an absolute must!

I'm almost lost to describe how beautiful this place is. I'll do my best, but still don't think I could do justice. the only way to see how nice it is to eat, and how good the culinary experience is here is to travel to knoydart and try it yourself! the caffe is in a rebuilt scheune and is quirky, without trying! veronica that leads the caffe is a beautiful person and fantastic host. we went on a Wednesday night and curry on Friday night after fish and chips. there were my husband and I, and our two sons in the age of 4 and 7 at the end of the meal was nothing left on our tellers. our young don't really eat curry home. the fact that they said it was shameful is a real test on Veronica's cooking. I have never seen that they eat fish and chips so fast and while they eat them, and for days after they were always talking about "how tasty" they were. the food was freshly cooked to order right in front of us, and immediately served to the table. we also have in some of the beautiful homemade cakes and delicious hot chocolate that was available. the caffe has 2 large tables and seats around 20 people. there were others there when we were, and it felt as if a large family sat around and talked to each other and about the magic of knoydart. Of particular importance are also the seals that can be seen in the bay right in front of the caffe and offer much pleasure while we were there. even if the sky is clear, the prospects as they drive/go to airor are breathtaking. I honestly can't recommend this place enough and very sincerely intend to return as soon as we can.
Visits here on Sunday with our family. a really wonderful place, amazing and eating was absolutely delicious. veronika was so beautiful and made us so welcome. I had the sweeter and salate, nice, if she was worth a visit to the chance in any case. thanks. cara recommend for us x
Excellent fish and chips evening, sparklingly fresh fish, superb batter, lovely chips, all beautifully cooked, (on a generator, miles from nearest electricity which is off grid in itself), great service and ambience. You 'd say 'well done for having a go ' at providing food so out of the way, but this is food and service which could hold its own and excel mainstream, no compromise on quality.
