Six of us dined at this restaurant in early September while staying an hour away on the Isle of Skye. It was definitely worth the drive. This fantastic local spot offered delicious food, a great atmosphere, tasty drinks, and our server was exceptional. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we visit the Isle of Skye again.
Very cozy restaurant on the island of skye. We went to dinner and all exquisite, the very kind waitress. Homemade and typical food there, good price.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and I'm glad we didn't each order dessert. They have a fantastic variety of drinks and the decor was lovely. I would recommend booking in advance, as it's definitely worth it.
The food at this restaurant was disappointing. One of us had mushy meat that resembled baby food while the other had tough meat that was hard to chew. There are gluten free options available. The layout of the bar, with stairs leading up to it and then a different set of stairs leading down to the toilets, can be difficult to navigate for those with limited mobility. However, the staff were friendly and there was a helpful sticker in the accessible toilet for ambulatory wheelchair users.
I was staying at the Skyewalker hostel just up the road, so walked down for a meal here to treat myself. I arrived a bit late, very busy with bookings so told when I got there, would have to vacate my table before I had started?! Advice is to book and get there on time, maybe because dining alone, and could have served two people? Super tasty scallops to start, then delicious trout on bed of creamy leeks and crushed new potatoes, took half away with me as too full to finish it!! Food was very enjoyable, great friendly guy from Leeds on the bar who knew his stuff. I wish I could have been there later when it is just the bar! Would gladly visit again, I may stay in Portnalong especially to visit Munro's bar and the Skyewalker hostel! Beautiful part of the world
