What Eastendboyz doesn't like about Glenalbyn:
As we were staying at the Premier Inn a few doors away this was the closest pub. The sign outside says 'A warm Highland welcome awaits '. WARM??? About as warm as a penguin on an iceberg. The lady on the bar just wasn 't interested. We ordered 2 vodka/diet coke and when I say a splash of coke, that 's exactly what it was, a splash, served in a thimble size glass. I asked for them to be filled up, much to the woman 's... View all feedback. What Elsie Bell likes about Glenalbyn:
We visited this pub to spend a little time while waiting for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. Since it was a Six Nations rugby-loving establishment, we got to enjoy an England vs. Wales rugby match with some locals who came in (although we are...not particularly rugby fans). read moreThe Highland welcome promised at this pub couldn't be found, as the service was less than friendly and the drinks left much to be desired. However, some found the cozy atmosphere appealing, especially during rugby matches. The history of the bar added to its charm, with the friendly landlady being a highlight. Despite some overcharging and mixed experiences with drinks, overall, the bar seems to be a hit with locals and visitors alike, offering a pleasant spot for a drink in Inverness.
A great pub from the 70s... wide selection of beer, whisky and gins. Beer was wonderful and beautiful atmosphere.
