We spent $80.00 and found that the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. The Fried Oysters we ordered were small and mostly breading. My husband's steak was tough and fatty, while my salmon was bland and greasy. Even the sweet potato was watery. The only redeeming aspects of our meal were the rolls and salad. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied. This experience was unexpected, as we have always received high-quality food at Steak Street in the past.

We are always looking for good food at reasonable prices, wine specials, and some entertainment. We have visited Steak Street on several Friday or Sunday nights, which are half-price wine nights. Unfortunately, each visit has left us disappointed. During a recent visit in December, we used a $20.00 off coupon and ordered dishes we always compare at different restaurants - tuna and shrimp and grits. My tuna was served cold, so I sent it back and ordered something else. To our surprise, we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity for our large table, including on the plate that was sent back and the full price of the wine instead of the discounted price. We also noticed that cheaper wines seemed to be out of stock on special nights but magically reappeared on regular-priced nights. Additionally, the 18% gratuity was added to the discounted price with the $20.00 off coupon. When we voiced our concerns to the night manager, he dismissively told us not to come back. We are now following his advice and will not be returning to Steak Street in High Point.
