Feedback
Panera Bread pairs cozy, coffee‑shop comfort and a clean, craveable menu with friendly staff and reliable breakfast staples. Regulars praise the welcoming service, seating and mobile ordering, but recurring problems — missed or incorrect items, inconsistent packaging, and occasional burnt or underheated food — frustrate customers who expect better at higher prices. Management sometimes fixes errors, yet spotty quality control and service inconsistency temper an otherwise convenient neighborhood option.
I absolutely adore the Asian chicken salad and the lemonade at Panera Bread! Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was prompt.
Very rude service. Placed an order for rapid pickup and it wasn 't on the shelf so I waited in line to reorder. The counter person pointed to the counter, BEHIND A SIGN, and said it 's over there. How would I know it 's supposed to be there or even seeit? I asked out of curiosity why it wouldn 't be on the shelf (10 feet away) because I 've never used this pickup feature before. She bit my head off, yelling WE DIDN 'T HAVE TIME OK. Ok well I had a sick kid in the car and didn 't have time to wait in line toask about it. There is no reason to be rude about a question. It wasn 't even that busy there, so I guess this interaction costedyou all the time you saved by not putting orders in the correct place. I saw an employee walk from behind the counter to therapid pickup area twice while I was there so time clearly isn 't the issue.
I've found Panera Bread to be unreceptive to their shortcomings. They do not check off on their own labels which sandwiches are wrapped, provide enough of the proper plasticware needed, and mostly don't get your order right. But the manager, Amy says thatthey will give you a 10% discount on your NEXT order. There won't be a next order! For the high price of Panera Bread thereshould be a higher standard of excellence.
After somehow paying close to $40 for soup and salad for two people, I picked up my to go order from the counter and asked if it was everything and was told it was. Got 10 minutes down the road only to find out that one of the salads was not in the bag. After driving back and telling them they forgot it they handed me a salad that was already made like they just forgot to put itin the bag. Then after going out to the car I realized they didn?t even give me the right salad. For the third time I went backin to get the correct food and decided to really check the rest of the bag and found there was also another item missing. All Igot from the employees was a cold ?sorry? and 30 minutes of wasted time. None of the employees seemed like they wanted to bethere or cared about their job. It is definitely worth the extra 15 minute drive to go to any different location.
I want to like Panera, but I can?t get past the poor service and it being expensive for what you get. I went for breakfast and I do enjoy the hazelnut coffee. I ordered a cinnamon crunch bagel, toasted. It was burnt, I could only eat the top half. I alsoordered the oatmeal with strawberries. The oatmeal can put really cold, I took it back, and they offered me a microwave. Withthe fresh strawberries, I didn?t want microwave them. Then she offered a bowl for me to remove the strawberries and then for meto microwave it. I couldn?t believe it. Then when I hesitated, she offered to remake it. When it came out it was super hot, which was fine. I understand restaurants are short staffed and I try to be understanding.
