Was Maggie Miller at Fire Sticks a mag?
This restaurant is a favorite of my husband and me. We had dinner here on Tuesday and decided to try their Fire and Sticks sushi. Both my husband and I absolutely loved it! The service we received was the best we've had in a long time. The soup and salad were fresh, and our entrees were just perfect. We definitely felt we got our money's worth! It may be a while before we can afford another meal like that, but we wil... View all feedback.
What Dee Dunbar dislikes about Fire Sticks:
I wanted to try something new in the area since I recently moved here. The first time I visited, the food was good. However, on my second visit, I was unable to get through on the phone, and I found out they don't take to-go orders on Mondays. That's pretty strange. I don't plan on returning. I love hibachi, and the bartender, Jake or Jason, was really cool during my first visit when I placed a takeout order. It's fr... View all feedback.
Was suggested this place from a lady at cupcake cuties. She was trying us how good it was and that they had the live shows, so we had to check it out. We were not disappointed. Very nice atmosphere. When we walked in we kinda felt under dressed.... they have the entrance decorated with flowers and it looks so elegant. We arrived at opening 4pm. We were immediately seated and out drunk orders taken. Our waitress was Kayla. She done a great job taking order and refilling drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. We had a short wait as the wanted to make sure no one else came in to sit at the grill with us..... no one else showed so we had that whole grill to ourselves. There were only 2 grills going while we were there. Out chef was very funny n kept the kids engaged. They give very large portions so be prepared to get a to go box. Can easily make 2 meals out of each serving. (We did anyway) and we ate till We were stuffed at the restaurant. For 3 adult portions and 1 child portion it was 135 including tip. And we each got coke to drink. Over all everything was great. We hadn't been to a hibachi grill since pre covid so it was nice. Most hibachi places r take out only anymore so I'm glad they are back to doing shows at this location.
Fire Sticks is one of our favorite restaurants and working in the restaurant industry myself, I understand that customer service is a HUGE part of success. We had a party of 9 for a birthday celebration and frequent the restaurant. I must say we had some of the worst service I've ever experienced. From the time our server approached our table until the end, it was horrible. She was extremely Rude and at one point even told one of us wait a minute when asked to bring salt (which was never brought). We sat with our glasses empty most of the night and one person even had water and drink spilled all over them and their cell phone. She never made eye contact with anyone at the table and would only ask if we needed something in passing so that we really didn't have a chance to answer. We had cake for our birthday celebration and had to get the manager to bring silverware as she simply disappeared. What could have been a very good tip night for her ended with only the gratuity that was added. I'm not sure if she was having a bad night but we all have to do better at customer service or folks will go somewhere else. The food was still amazing, as was our chef. It just made a rare family get together pretty unpleasant.
The best Japanese I had in FOREVER!!! FRESH AND HOT! Our server/bartender JASON was AWESOME and we DID NOT have to sit a table full of people we don't know like other Japanese restaurants!! Are we going back?
From the moment our server approached our table, the service was disappointing. She was quite rude and even snapped at one of our guests to "wait a minute" when she was asked for salt, which was never brought to us. Throughout the night, our glasses remained empty for long periods, and one person even had water and a drink spilled all over them and their phone. The server never made eye contact with anyone and would only inquire if we needed anything as she passed by, making it difficult for us to respond. We had cake for the birthday celebration, but we had to call the manager to bring us silverware since the server had seemingly vanished. A night that could have resulted in a generous tip for her ended with only the added gratuity. I understand that everyone can have a bad night, but we all need to uphold a standard of customer service or risk losing customers. On a positive note, the food was still fantastic, and our chef did an excellent job. It’s just disappointing that what should have been a joyful family gathering turned out to be quite unpleasant.
We arrived right at opening time, 4 PM, and were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taken promptly, and our waitress, Kayla, did an excellent job of managing our orders, refilling drinks, and ensuring we had everything we needed. We had a brief wait because they wanted to make sure no one else would be seated at the grill with us. Fortunately, no one else came, so we had the entire grill to ourselves since only two grills were in operation during our visit. Our chef was very entertaining and kept the kids engaged throughout the meal. The portions were generous, so be prepared to take home leftovers! We easily turned each serving into two meals, and we left the restaurant feeling completely stuffed. Our bill for three adult portions and one child portion came to $135, including the tip, and we each had a Coke to drink. Overall, everything was fantastic. We hadn't been to a hibachi grill since before COVID, so it was great to experience it again. Many hibachi restaurants have switched to takeout only, so we’re really glad this location is back to offering live shows!
