Ishikawa - High Point
Ishikawa
Description
Tucked in the heart of Bannockburn, this charming Scottish tea room doubles as a cozy Japanese eatery that sparks mixed reactions. While some diners praise the friendly staff, warm atmosphere, and standout coffee and homemade cakes, opinions on the food vary widely. Sushi and hibachi receive both high praise for flavor and freshness, and criticism for cold, unappetizing dishes with poor presentation. Portions can be minimal, and quality inconsistent. Despite this, many appreciate the accommodating service and gluten-free options, making it a convenient spot for a casual breakfast or lunch, especially for those seeking a welcoming local vibe.

The service was excellent, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I find that sushi in the U.S. tends to be much better. I really wish I had driven a little farther to find a higher-quality meal.
The service was prompt, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly suggest checking it out!
This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. Although it's a small restaurant, the service is outstanding. We were welcomed right away and handed menus. We ordered sushi and hibachi, and it was ready in just minutes. Both dishes were incredibly tasty. If you're in search of excellent Japanese cuisine, this is the place to go.
If I could give 0 stars I would, but I can’t. Food was not impressive in the slightest on first glance and was very mediocre tasting. No flavor found a piece of something in sushi that was very unsettling.
