Don Julio Mexican And American Buffet

Headed back to Fort Worth and hubby found this place. He saw the 4.9 ? rating so we decided to try it. The place is connected to the Chevron gas station. Wait staff is kind and attentive. The food was really good. It's not TexMex. It's regular Mexicanfood and it's well done! They start you with a basket of chips salsa. Salsa isn't hot, but it is very flavorful. Everyonegets a bowl of bean soup that I found to be so good that I forgot to snap a photo after my first taste!! We ordered the BirriaQuesadillas as well as the Mucho Grande Plate. The Birria Quesadillas we're delicious and filled with brisket with cheese. Theplate also came with a dollop of sour cream and freshly made guacamole, rice and refried beans were good. The Mucho GrandePlate had a ground beef enchilada with a very yummy red sauce, the cheese enchilada had a very tasty queso on top, and thechicken enchilada had a sour cream sauce. Every single one of these were delicious! It also came with rice and refriedbeans. Hubby ordered the fresh made lemonade. It was good and very refreshing. I ordered the sweet tea because Emily Miller,in a prior review, mentioned it was good. And it was the perfect sweetness! We will definitely stop by the next time we are inthe area. This place is hands down the best mexican food restaurant in town. Folks are very nice food is great

The queso is the best. And the Tea is freshly made and is delicious, hard to find a good sweet tea now (don't worry they have unsweet too), plus they make homemade lemonade. So good.... Never tasted anything here I didn't like. Plus another hidden gem isNick, he is he owner's son and he is just the sweetest man you will ever meet

Pleasant road trip surprise! I had the Al Carbon tacos and they were so fresh and flavorful.
