Eis - Hico

Crazy good! Smoked chicken salad on Jalapeno bread was amazing. This place alone is worth visiting from your way to Hico. The owners are proud of what they do. Friendly and charming. You have to try.

Eis is the downstairs shop to a 3 room hotel upstairs. Eis is lively and offers great artisan sandwiches and ice cream. A good break for a nice, quick sandwich or evening dessert.

Had to make a pit stop during our road trip from Lubbock to Houston what a smart decision. We didn’t want fast food, so Sonic was off the table, but Eis was the move!! The sandwiches were beyond amazing. We really didn’t believe that the prices we paid for those sandwiches would worth, but after the first bite…? Thanks for this small town gem!! We got the roast beef, turkey and ham sandwiches. But I can’t imagine that it even mattered which sandwiches we chose, because they all were so good. Make the stop; it’s worth it!!!

Just tried this little spot on our way through Hico. It was such a wonderful experience. We treated ourselves to some sandwiches and ice cream. Boy are we glad we did. It was amazing!! I thought the sandwiches were going to be the best part until I had their coconut ice cream. Heavenly!! I will definitely be back. 10 out of 10!! Vegetarian options: All sides are vegeterian. Good, fresh salad options. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Good family restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp off highway 6.
