While visiting Hiawassee, GA, we stopped in this little diner. The service was really good. The server was friendly and fast. I'm a huge fan of country fried steak and eggs, so when i saw it on the menu, that's what I ordered along with a side of blueberry pancakes. Everything was good except the country Fried Steak. What Russell Perrin doesn't like about Bear Meadows Grill:
The breakfast was well-prepared, but I can't recommend this place. You’d be better off going to Main Street, where the staff is much more welcoming. While the food was good, the young server who brought our meal had a less than pleasant attitude and could definitely use some improvement. My wife and I went to have an early dinner at around 3:30. Our Waiter said we would have to wait a half hour to order off the dinner menu, so we decided to order a sandwich because that 's all they offer for lunch. While we we were waiting it seemed like people around us that came in after us was receiving their food before us. A couple setting close to us got what looked to me like a dinner, I could see green beans and broccoli on there plates. Finally around 4:20 we got our sandwiches, I guess we could have waited for dinner because as long as it took to get lunch. Food wasn 't good either the chicken tasted like it wasn 't real chicken. We give them zero stars. The waiter forgot to put in our order then when we finally got our food didn 't offer us dessert or anything to compensate our time spent waiting on our food. Good food, quick service. My eggs Benny was delicious. The grits were really good too.
