Reviews - Chikayan
Reviews summary
Chikayan's reputation seems to be on a rollercoaster ride, with opinions sharply divided. While some diners revel in its return to the popular all-you-can-eat format, enjoying generous portions and friendly service, others lament a decline in food quality and customer care. Numerous complaints include a failure to fulfill orders correctly, excessive oil in dishes, and a lack of communication from staff. Additionally, some patrons have felt overcharged due to misleading pricing tactics. Conversely, a few have praised the takeout experience and authentic flavors they've enjoyed. Ultimately, prospective diners may want to approach with caution.

Have been coming here for years and came here today for lunch. Amy looked after us with exceptional service and lovely food. I have been cooking Chinese food as a hobby and the food here is top notch. Thank you View all feedback.
What r50lts dislikes about Chikayan:
Exploited pricesSo eat out to help out is great but not when they increase their prices by 30% and then don’t pass back the VAT from 20-5%Only found out the eat all you can was £28 when the waiter took the order, oh by he way it’s my job to tell you how much the meal is as it’s not printed on the menu.Food was ok, service just acceptable and 15% added to the bill for this. Don’t take Amex either.I feel that they help... View all feedback.

Used to love this place for family and friends catch up. The food used to be spot on and staff friendly. Sadly this is no longer the case. Was there for a small birthday gathering and staff literally had frowns on and miserable. Crispy chilli beef used to be a highlight but this is bad now. Such a shame.
After leaving a justifiably bad review a year ago, having visited many times before, we decided to give this restaurant another chance and we were glad we did. It’s safe to say the food is back to it’s previous best, indeed this was probably the best meal we have had here, visiting many times over the last ten years. Well done to the management and staff, keep it up as we will be returning.
Terrible service , waited so long for our food that had been delivered to another table. We had to keep requesting our food .. Took them 20 mins to sort out... Starters had no taste ,lacking salt. Mains well no cimment
Very nice Chinese restaurant, especially fried noodle and fried rice. We have ordered take away 3 times during our 2 weeks stay in England.

We love this place. all they can eat for £20 concept is very beautiful. we love everything we tried on the menu. my favorites are crispy asparagus, roasted noodles and the sweet corn voucher.
A favorite forever. much more delicious authentic than most places close and fabulous tasty selection. I love the Cantonese crispy nude and bananenfritter. (daughter tasty bites) I have immersed myself to get the 10% collection discount, 25.% when they go over £20 and order a bubbled one. the menu I couldn't find online, so here it is. only high-quality Chinese.
I just tried to take her away, eating is good and serving very decent. they look forward to an experience.
This is the first time I have had a take-away here and the food was exceptional. I really like the Chow Mein with the bean sprouts as this was thinner noodles and soft beans sprouts so I was pleasantly surprised. I had the vegetarian crispy duck pancakes and the Chilli Asparagus (apattizer). All very tasty and I will certainly be ordering or eating in from here again.
