Ponsbourne Domes - Hertford

We received a warm welcome and were quickly seated in a cozy pod. The waitstaff were very efficient, frequently checking in to see if we needed anything while also giving us the time we wanted. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Where do I begin? The lighting and heating in the dome kept cutting out, leaving us in the dark for much of the night. To make matters worse, we were informed that one of the meals was a vegan soy dish, but when it was served, it turned out to be chicken! As a result, that member of our party had nothing to eat because the kitchen was too busy to prepare anything else. We paid £200 for a three-course meal for four people but ended up leaving with only two courses. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly wouldn't suggest making a pre-booking and paying upfront. Honestly, I believe I am owed at least half of my money back since we did not receive the majority of what we paid for.

If you can remember that it is a hotel above restaurant, then service is pretty ok. The domes were not as bad as I had read about. The food comes spicy but you can ask for mild instead. Service can be slow but it’s is a big establishment. Beautiful place and nice food
