This restaurant (translates as the Grape) serves mainly traditional Suabian food which it does well. Food is well prepared and cooked to a high standard therefore retaining its good tastes. Service is as good as for a very busy medium sized restaurant so nothing to...complain about there. Always worth looking at the specials list which changes regularly and comes up with some nice surprises. Staff speak very limited... View all feedback.
What Judson Goodwin doesn't like about Zur Traube:
I regularly travel to Germany and that is the worst service ever. waited over 40 minutes to order and then said that the main thing, a burger was sold. it wasn't like we were a late arrival as we booked for 19.30. we were totally ignored as others were served and it wasn't particularly busy. avoid them! Food here was very good. We had some difficulty as we don't speak German and the waitress was unable to translate the menu for us. However, the food was very good and we enjoyed it. Wine is served by the glass (not by bottle or...flask) which makes it a little expensive, but this seems to be the custom in some restaurants in the town. We ate here on a Thursday and the place was very busy, so recommend booking.
Great family restaurant to taste authentic Swabian dishes. late or swirl pink. it's all great!

Staff speak very limited English so is wise to have a dictionary to translate basic menu terms ! My friends tell me that their wines are excellent.
