Venison and wild boar are in season and they do both well. If its warm enough (as it was last weekend) there is a small outside part. .

Customer service is seriously lacking here an... read more Yes, the food is exquisite and the views from high above this historic town are awesome but that's where it stops. Customer service is seriously lacking here and for all that this restaurant is food wise it lacks the same in nearly every other aspect. Again, I have to reiterate that the food is exceptional, but everyone already knows that and should expect that with a Michelin rated restaurant. My issue is that, as a local, I should be able to walk in on a week night and 9:30 pm and receive a warm welcome and at least an offer of a drink. We had an experience there recently where we may as well have been street beggars. We arrived on a weeknight at 9:30 and were met with a very unwelcoming attitude and they positively declined to serve us. Not even an offer of a drink. Moral of the story is that while everyone should be lucky enough to have a meal in this restaurant one day, don't forget to bring a healthy dose of humility and patience. The older service lady is gruff and borderline rude, it seems to the embarrassment of the younger service people, and one should expect nothing more than great food with a beautiful view, provided you're in the main dining room. And whatever you do, don't expect a warm welcome no matter how often you return or how much of your life savings you spend on your meals. No matter. Go down the street, as we did, to Gasthaus Sonne where the food is quite comparable. The bill will be less and the service without match. We always feel like family at the Sonne.
