Not too spicy or too sweet of a supplement, but enough for a tweet that was a nice change of pace in taste. The chicken was tender and not boiled over. The moving roast Singapore noodles with Tofu was also quite good. We're going back. The restaurant is a little hard to find, as it is bit back and in a somewhat dark shopping street.
Best vegan pho in the area. possibly best bovine chicken pho also in the area. This place is operated by two older Vietnamese lesbian couples. They are super cool and super nice, but they do everything in themselves, except the cleaning they have done a hired sous chef (assistant). The service is generally slow. They rarely pick up the phone after the first ring. During a stretch of January 2016 I called almost every day and they never picked up the phone. They make good food and don't need good service. It sucks, but it's true. If you leave someone, it will come. I worked with them to get their phone to work. Since they are the only actual vegan phobach with many roasted onions (instead of water you get in most places) Sometimes I would drive 30 minutes to wait ten minutes for the broth. I tried to reproduce her onion broth about 6 times and spent about $100 onions and spices. I don't know what witchcraft they do, but I'm sure I appreciate it. You won the best of Herndon over the last five years, so I'm not the only one. I have lived in Herndon/Reston for about 20 years and know people who have lived here for 90 years, we all agree that this is the best Pho place.
I've eaten Pho everywhere on the east coast, and this Pho has some of the most tasteful broth I've ever tried. I always order #8, and the texture of the noodles is perfect, and the meat is always delicate. It's never overcrowded what pushes my head.
Ordered the Shaking Beef Entree with steamed rice. Very delicious and satisfying! Whether you are a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or want to try it for the first time, this is a great place. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return the next time I am in the area.
This was some of the best pho I've had! The broth was worth the terrible wait and service. I think we went on a unique day though, where they were short on staff. Like I said, worth the wait! Great prices too. 5 stars if service was better
