Absolutely LOVE this local breakfast, brunch and lunch spot by the beach (we always walk to the ocean after eating here). My favorite indulgence is the cinnamon roll pancake. Nothing like it anywhere else! View all feedback.
Best breakfast spot in the South Bay. Fresh ingredients, wide array of food options, friendly staff, and gorgeous location. This is my favorite spot to bring out of town guests! Even if there is a wait, it's just steps from the beach.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant in Hermosa Beach for breakfast, just a block off the Strand. Our waiter, Alex, suggested the sampler plate and we weren't disappointed. It included the cornmeal eggs, yogurt with fruit and avocado toast. There is street parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. Be prepared to wait, but they are very efficient.
Martha's has been a place I have driven by for several years, and I have always wanted to try it out. My friend decided that the other day was our day to try it. The food was amazing, and the service was incredible. We arrived at Martha's and were seated in less than a minute. They brought us out waters in record time, and also brought the food out shockingly fast. I would say after putting in our order no more than 5 minutes later both plates of our food were on the table. The place is situated right next to the beach and hearing the distant sounds of the waves is extremely relaxing. I will definitely be going back again and getting the ABC Omelet, because my oh my was it great. Learn from me and stop by! Trust me you won't be disappointed!
Martha's is a local go to by legions of fans. It is frequently busy especially on weekends. They offer an extensive breakfast, brunch/lunch menu. Portions are large. I've enjoyed the omelettes, massive pancakes and Monte christo which while tasty wasn't battered and deep fried and served with preserves. Mine was served between slices of French toast. I wouldn't get it again.
Didn't order my best here. Huevos playa was too much for me but the rye bread was a great addition suggested by our waitress, Natalia, to sop up the sauce of the tomato and egg. The french toast was very good and our eggs, hash browns and eggs were traditional and delicious. Service was good. The line was long after we were sat. Restroom is a bit difficult to access and very small inside. They redirect customers to partner restaurants if the wait is very long but I noticed that everyone was willing to wait. This is an extremely popular restaurant. Beach access and so many dogs to watch on their walk. Easy to take a short stroll after your meal.
