What jeminplymtree doesn't like about The Wheatsheaf Inn:
We were recommended the Wheatsheaf as being dog friendly. It doesn’t look that great from the outside and perhaps without the recommendation I would normally have driven straight past. But had I done that we would have missed out on a great lunch with all 4 of us returning empty plates. Main courses and desserts were excellent. nice eating and friendly staff. a pub of locals (all seemed friendly and welcoming in the night and even knew that I had seen the specials boards). many gin, whisky and beer to choose from. gin mainly gordons and whitley neill, but some others. to ask about the change from court, so no kartoffels, but more salat. also offered rice or veg. pay attention to 2 different special butterflies one in the dining area and one... First visit here. Lovely cosy pub. Good varied menu. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food excellent but portions extremely large. Would definitely recommend.
