Three meat plate had more than enough food. Ribs were delicious. Brisket was on point. Jalapeño sausage was ok. Coleslaw was excellent as was the jalapeño cream corn.
The meal was great, just a little pricey but I do eat a lot. Worth the money good BBQ
I have lived and eaten good BBQ in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Georgia, not to mention the states I have been through. The Rusty Pit is the best I found. Head Country BBQ in Ponca City Oklahoma is the only other close to being so good. At my first lunch at a visit to the city last week I had the brisket. It had a wonderfully wide and pink smoke ring and was tender throughout the fork. The next day for the ribs remained and was not disappointed. As good as the bride. When it comes to lunchtime and you are within 40 miles of Hereford, get a treat and go to the Rusty Pit.
Best BBQ in town! Everything you get here will be great! Brisket baked potato is my personal favorite, but the ribs are definilty top favorite. All right! Try it.
You know it's a good spot to eat when it just opens and 15 minutes in you have to ask if they still have certain items still. Definitely worth getting there early. Baked potato is a must order. Getting hungry again just typing this!
