Azzurro - Henrico

We were seated within a few minutes. Our waitress, Amy, was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. We sampled several wines before finally choosing a bottle, and then we ordered dinner, which was absolutely fabulous!

We met some old friends for dinner and overall had a mixed experience. Our server was pleasant and efficient, which made the evening enjoyable. The beet salad was average, featuring a dressing that was barely noticeable. The fish dish I had was very good, but the potato fritter was barely warm. My partner, who usually loves risotto, ordered the risotto special but didn’t enjoy it. It was overloaded with garlic and goat cheese, along with other flavors that created an unusual taste. While there were sweet notes to the dish, the individual flavors felt overly pronounced. We have always enjoyed Azurro over the years, but we were disappointed with our meal on this visit.

It was a special friend's birthday, and luckily, their ravioli dinner and our salads, along with the tiramisu, were fabulous!

I had the baked speghetti with meatballs and my wife had the huh piccata and both were excellent! we had a very nice time.

Most of the food was delicious however one of our mains was not. We also sat in the front so it was disruptive with guests coming and and out. The bartender was our server and she was busy but very attentive. I’ve been in the past without any disappointments.
