Wow! This place is a gem! I would’ve never known it existed but I happened to be on Shrader Rd on an errand. I made a U turn and walked into a clean and comfortable set of train cars stacked side by side. Unlike most Richmond coffee shops, this one doesn’t serve that tangy, “rusty” flavored gunk. The black coffee tastes like something you’d get in a nice diner and the breakfast sandwiches are great. I never order a chicken biscuit bc they’re always dry, but not this time try the “hot honey”. This will become a regular stop, but how I wish they stayed open later! This would be a perfect place to bring a date OR your entire family.

Everything about this place is wonderful. They have amazing coffee, food and staff. It also provides a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere where you just want to spend your day there.

We were so excited to hear about this place when it opened up not too long ago, and it has not been disappointment. I can always count on them being friendly when I walk up to the counter, they drinks are reliably good, and there's tons of seating. Owner Olaf manages to greet every person who comes in and he keeps the place spic and span. I can tell he genuinely cares about his customers by how he treats them. It's a perfect spot to study or meet for business and in a great central location. I also like knowing I'm supporting a locally owned small business when I come here! Brick Road Coffee is a home away from home. P.S. The bulk teas they sell in tins are very high quality!

This morning I visited this coffee shop for the first time to meet a relative. As it was too late for breakfast and too early for lunch we both ordered scones. They were soft scones rather than the harder version I’ve had at other places. However, they were delicious! I look forward to trying more food here on my next visit!
