Capybaras are very healthy and friendly. They are potty trained and love to be pet. Definitely recommend
While visiting Yokohama, I took my daughters (obsessed with capybaras) to this petting Cafe, similar to cat or dog cafes all over Japan but with CAPYBARAs! Miss Potato, Ron Boy, and Miss Ringo. They were charming, and the girls had a blast petting and feeding them. Admission includes a beverage, and capybara food... but if you want to see them go NUTS, buy them some sugar cane. The proprietors of this business answered all of our questions and obviously they truly love the capybaras and treat them very well. You can tell, they are like part of their family. There are also guinea pigs! We had a great time. This place is a little out of the way, on a quiet charming street with an amazing bakery. Highly recommend.
A very nice and clean place. Capybaras are very cute and calm. I highly recommend everyone to visit Capybaraland!
Going to Capybara Land has always been a dream for me, and it finally came true. Pote-chan, Ringo-chan, and Ron-kun were very polite and sweet and friendly, unlike most animal cafes, and the price is very affordable. For a first time visit you'll spend about 1,600 yen with no time limit, and you get a complimentary drink and some treats for the capybaras. Overall we spent about two hours patting the capybaras and playing with them and it was a very intimate and loving experience. Unfortunately when we visited, the food was closed due to COVID, and I can tell that COVID has hit this business hard. I truly hope with the upcoming Spring season and the opening of Japan's borders that this business will flourish again, as it's one of the genuinely ethical and liberating animal cafe experiences this side of Japan.
Lovely place to visit. I spent 2hr+ here having a good interaction with the owner, capyparas. Worth it.
