Delicious fish and chips! If you're a fan of fried cod and fries, this is the spot to visit in Hemet. While the atmosphere isn't the most inviting—it's located in an old strip mall and has dated decor—I keep coming back for the fantastic food.
The fish here is usually excellent. It could be even better if some seasoning were added to the batter or the fish itself. The texture is very crunchy and quite good. He prepares each order fresh after you place it, so it does take some time. Occasionally, he can get a bit irritable if there’s any confusion with the order. I consider my English to be decent, so I believe it's Simon I’m talking to. You can't swap slaw for fries, and the fries are priced higher than the slaw. When you ask a question, he tends to point at the menu with a stick. However, he does cook great fish, he has a friendly demeanor, and his place is always busy.
This is the perfect place for anyone looking for truly fresh seafood prepared in the traditional way. I've been on the hunt for a great fish and chips spot, and now that I've found it, I can't recommend their fried fish, shrimp, and everything else on the menu enough. If you're craving authentic flavors that remind you of the classic ways of enjoying seafood—something that's increasingly rare to find today—this is the spot for you. With over 40 years of seafood experience, this place has it all. I'm so glad I discovered you guys—everything is delicious!
Nice place. One guy works there most the time. I guess thats Simon. Lots of specials on fried items. Been in business 42 years he said. Will for sure go back!
