Stopped here on a motorcycle drive for a light snack. The view is great, service is chipper, and the food gives you plenty of energy for whatever you decide to do afterward. The Coupe Peche Melba was delicious, garnished with roasted almonds. Prices are high, but that's to be expected in out-of-the-way locations. View all feedback.
We just went to the bakery and bought bread and ginger biber. Both were very fine. The rye bread was a bit big, but even after 4 days it was still crispy and fresh. Unfortunately, this rarely happens today. I'm happy to take a detour for this.

We like the little village of Hemberg SG perched on the top of a hill and frequently stop here at this small bakery/café to enjoy the beautiful view into the rolling hills. On a very warm day in early September, this was just the right place to cool down with their incomparable Wiener Eiskaffee while enjoying the view into the hills towards the Säntis and getting tips from our table neighbors residing in the vicinity as to different routes to drive in this hilly countryside. An enjoyable place with good, friendly service.
