Was Leo Sutinen at Elite a mag?
that was the first restaurant I had eaten in helsinki and I was not disappointed that the place is beautifully decorated and the staff friendly, there is also a terrace for smoker. I had suppe and sirloin steak and both were delicious. I also tasted the calf liver and was one of the best I've ever eaten. I recommend this place in any case if they like something good View all feedback.
We are in front of a restaurant with history. Its origins date back to 1932 and, since then, it has been one of the favourite restaurants of artists and the cultural world in Finland, among other reasons for being very close to an artists' residence. That cultural influence is perceived in its interior, among other aspects, by the plaques with the names of the artists on the tables where they used to sit. Its decoration is very classic, although well maintained, without standing out for excesses or shortcomings. As for the food, it is of very good quality, both the meat and the fish, and the portions are quite generous. It has a wide menu where typical appetizers of the country and different types of meat and fish stand out. The pepper steak, for example, is highly recommended. In addition, they offer what they call Classics, such as fried herrings with mashed potatoes, and various desserts, each more appetizing than the last, such as the hot chocolate cake with Cointreau mascarpone mousse. The prices... Not too expensive for a good restaurant in Finland and somewhat high if compared to Spain, although the quality, truth be told, is very high and the dishes are very well crafted and prepared. In addition, the service is quite good. The restaurant has a very spacious dining room, a fairly spacious bar, and in summer they have an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy an even more pleasant meal. The downside of this place, especially for tourists, is that it is somewhat far from the center and the most touristic area. It is, just to give you an idea, very close to the Sibelius monument and not far from the Kamppi metro station. They occasionally organize exhibitions or small musical performances.
The service and ambiance at this restaurant on a December Wednesday evening were beautiful. The staff spoke English well and were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, although the portion size of the elk Wallenberg could have been a bit smaller for my taste. Unfortunately, their signature dessert "Flickan" was sold out, which was a disappointment for us.
It is a nice place with traditional and French cuisine! The food was good and the service too!
