I was only there for a coffee break when visiting Heidelberg, but the fact that they had two different vegan muffins and plant milk for your coffee just casusally standing around there at the coffee counter really impressed me. You go, Heidelberg mensa!
Offers a huge buffet of salads and warm dishes, of which at least one is vegan. Noodles, rice and potatoe-products such as fries are mostly vegan too. The desserts at the Zeughaus Bar are fantastic and affordable, offer changes daily. WARNING: The cheap price of 89 cent p/100g is only available for Students of Heidelberg University, non students pay double price!
