There are not many tapas bars in hiedelberg and I can understand why this can be for some attractions. the atmosphere of don is welcoming and pleasant and the w... read more There are not many tapas bars in hiedelberg and I can understand why this can be for some attractions. the atmosphere of don is welcoming and pleasant and the wine is very good. this is both a place to go in and to stay - it has a local inviting atmosphere. all this is good so far, but what was a great disappointment were the tapas. the menu is quite extensive and has finished the usual selection of traditional Spanish tapas and we ordered patatas braves - so why did we finish with sauted kartomas with mayonnaisejamon iberica - that was more like local German ham and there were no signs that this side was very close in the cook I don't think that this seemed to be a Germanized version of Spanish tapas. given the price and quality, was this not a good experience?
