Nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The service is friendly and extremely attentive. Food and beverages are matched and taste excellent. Prices are absolutely reasonable. Here you can come back.
We were looking for a Spanish restaurant and frankly this was not our first choice, but due to the reviews this was here in heidelberg in the average. it was disappointing from the beginning when we just called to reserve a table and we got an rude hallo as answer to our hola! ok, we can understand that maybe not all workers are Spanish or even speak Spanish. we booked. When we arrived here, it was shocking not to find any indication that we were in a Spanish restaurant. we were greeted politely, but we realized that no one was a Spanish. the menu is a mess between Spanish and German. After we had ordered, we had to wait more than 45 minutes until 3 tapas were served, as others who later came were served first. the "gambas al ajillo" were, we say, easy. the selection of red and rosé wines is limited: there are only 4 different types, one French and another one house wine. we order again 3 tapas, whose serve lasted longer than 30 minutes. the "champiñones al jerez" were delicious and perhaps the best choice we met. as a crowning conclusion of dinner we ordered a "requesón con miel" that was surprisingly frozen (and literary). it was delicious, even if this has nothing to do with what we call in Spain "requesón con miel", it was rather an ice-cooled whipped cream with honey and mangle. the waitress was very attentive, actually more than our more responsible waiter the last time we visited several Spanish restaurants in the black forest and this is unfortunately our so far worst experience.
I compared this with the Spanish restaurant in baths. the tapas were better in baths, tenderer cooked and with more tasty dips. it also had estella damm! However, the paella here was more tasty with more taste and taste. two people need to order paella, but the portion can eat three easily, especially if tapas are eaten as an appetizer. service san miguel on license in Germany. the restaurant is located in a quiet street between the railway station and bismarckplatz. closed on Sundays. a visit is worth it.
