We were glad to find a clean bed and a good meal in the evening without having t... read more We did a cycling leg with the children, and it wasn't as restful as we'd hoped. We were glad to find a clean bed and a good meal in the evening without having to get back on our bikes. However, the hotel is very poorly soundproofed, and we were repeatedly told not to make any noise. I wish I'd had this information when booking, or even upon arrival, especially since I took the initiative to call to check that it met our needs. A family cycling trip is stressful enough as it is! I suggest the hotel create a small space where children can feel comfortable—and parents too, with suitable activities (perhaps there's a quieter area in the hotel or outside where the noise is less bothersome than in the room —if they want to properly welcome families on bikes, or else clearly state that we're not welcome—like in train carriages without children! I felt trapped in my hotel room between the busy road and the cliff behind the hotel, with little to do for my children (we travel light by bike! and a baby who needed to move around. There are plenty of interesting initiatives at this hotel, but my overall experience as a guest was not good.

We'll gladly return, and this time we'll make a reservation at the restaurant!

Here, there are no compromises: from the friendly service to the room (simple, but with everything you need) and the food (very refined and varied cuisine), there's not a single flaw. It's perfect.
