Nestled near Denali National Park, 229 Parks offers a unique dining experience with its James Beard award-winning cuisine and a stylish atmosphere. While some patrons have highlighted significant wait times and occasional service hiccups, many rave about the delicious offerings, such as king crab ravioli and the indulgent key lime tart. Reservations are essential, often requiring two weeks' notice. Despite its remote location, the restaurant impresses with its excellent food, local ingredients, and a commendable wine selection, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking an unforgettable meal amidst breathtaking scenery.

Very classy establishment. And James Beard award winning food. Takes some time in between courses but you?re made aware of that up front. I dug the Beef Tenderloin and Key Lime Tart. Great wine selection; I opted for Cab.

The food, service and ambience at 229 Parks were all wonderful. I?d say the king crab ravioli was the most memorable dish of the night. Snag a reservation when you can so you don?t miss out on this place!

One of the best restaurants in Alaska. Excellent food. Pretty surroundings. Warm and helpful staff. The bouillabaisse was delicious. Would have gone back a second night if it was open.

Took an hour and 40 minutes before we had our first bite to eat, a fight nearly broke out while we were there and the server really had no interest in making us happy with lots of less than kind comments for a place that?s supposed to be fine dining. Weleave and the server chases my father in law out the door regarding his totally reasonable tip given the circumstances. Avoidthis place if you can.

Very difficult to get reservations here. Need to call two weeks in advance! They were quite kind to work us in given everyone is staff limited. Food was outstanding. Nice find for this remote spot. Lots of vegetarian choices that are quitegood. Desserts are fantastic! And cool connection to our hometown of Huntsville, AL. Chef at 1892 has worked here.
