What Jessica Quinn dislikes about D'angelo's Cafe:
As a proud resident of Hazleton, I was greatly disappointed in the way I was treated at this bar. My friends and I simply wanted to enjoy a casual Tuesday cocktail, and based on previous reviews, we thought this would be a good choice. However, we were immediately made to feel unwelcome when they refused to accept my friend's passport as a valid form of identification and insisted we leave. As we exited, they laughed... The service and food were excellent. The restaurant is very clean and provides a pleasant dining atmosphere.
The waitress was very pleasant, but the service was not particularly fast, so it's important to be patient. However, the food was really good. I had eggs, sausage, home fries, and toast.
I have been dining at this restaurant for decades, and the food has always been consistently great for the past 50 years. We are loyal customers because of the fantastic consistency and excellent customer service. This is the only place in Hazleton where you can truly enjoy real food.
Nice outside covered deck. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food was excellent! Will be back soon!
Called to see when they serve breakfast until and was told 1:00. We went in and sat at 12:50pm , didn’t get waited on til 12:59pm and waitress stated “they stopped serving breakfast earlier because it’s busy”
In the heart of Hazleton, a local bar and restaurant has drawn mixed reactions from patrons. While some diners rave about the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and attentive service that have kept them coming back for decades, others express disappointment over a lack of hospitality, particularly regarding customer service and identification policies. Complaints about inconsistent service during busy hours and unfriendly experiences have deterred some from returning. However, highlights include excellent menu offerings and a charming ambience, promising a warm dining experience for those willing to take the chance. This establishment remains a focal point in the community, evoking both nostalgia and varied opinions.

My friend and I visited this restaurant tonight as part of the Hazleton shot and beer trail passport. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience. Upon arriving at our table, we were scolded for not wearing masks even though there was no "No mask no entry" sign. Our table was located very close to the door, yet we were still asked to walk back outside to put on a mask before returning. When we handed over our IDs, the bartender refused to accept my passport as a form of identification, even though I do not have a valid driver's license. The bar owner himself was present but refused to accommodate us. We did not appreciate this kind of service and will not be returning, and we advise others not to visit this restaurant.

This restaurant is fantastic - from the friendly staff to the delicious food! I highly recommend it to anyone.
The people here are wonderful, the food is delicious, and I adore my favorite chef. Can you guess who it is? The bartenders are very friendly, and they offer a great selection of bottled beers. The atmosphere is nice and cool.
The food is excellent, I will definitely be back for lunch soon.
Still good food and beverages after all these years
