So, how are his smash burgers? Each burger features a 2.5 oz beef patty or an Impossible patty, paired with their respective jams, a cloud-like brioche bun, mild cheddar cheese, garlic spread, lettuce, and tomato—what more could you ask for? I opted for the Adobo Smash Burger with adobo pork jam to savor that Filipino-American flair. From the first bite, I was in heaven. The soft bun hugged the juicy, tender patty, while the saltiness of the jam and sweetness of the caramelized onions complemented the freshness of the lettuce—it was the perfect burger experience. That adobo jam is so good I’d buy a jar if I could! Next was the Original Smash Burger with bacon jam, which blew the adobo burger out of the water. The salty bacon jam packed with flavor was simply outstanding. Then, I tried the Impossible Burger with onion jam. I rarely eat Impossible burgers, but this was one of the best representations of plant-based meat I’ve ever had. The texture might differ, but the flavor really impressed me. Don’t miss out on the Little Lumpias! I was completely surprised to learn they were made with Impossible meat—I honestly thought it was real meat the whole time. Lloyd had me fooled! The highlight of this dish was the mango pico de gallo, which paired perfectly with both the tots and lumpia. It was a fantastic twist on loaded Impossible lumpias! Overall, Lloyd Eats World was one of my favorite vendors at Foodieland Berkeley this year. The prices were reasonable, the food was incredible, and the team worked efficiently. If you have the chance, check them out at their pop-ups in San Francisco—you won’t regret trying these amazing smash burgers!
Absolutely delicious! The food is fresh and served hot, and the flavors are incredible. The staff is also very friendly.
The hours listed on Yelp are incorrect. I went to the address provided and it was closed. I sent a message but haven't received a response yet. It's best to check their Instagram or Facebook for accurate information. I discovered LEW through comments on BAE, but I wasn't successful using Yelp.
I tried Lloyds burger at the food trucks and stuff this weekend and the burger was really good, reminds me of a homemade burger my grandma used to make. It was pretty big and that bacon jam was delicious but It was on the saltier side, my meal came with like 8 tator tots which I thought was weird especially for the price. When I walked to the booth no one seemed like they were excited to work they were pretty much sitting and looking bored I stood there for a minute and no one greeted me until I asked to order then I was informed that I needed to order online and then come back to pick up my burger.
1 star for not being able to reach them via phone and when I went to the location shown on yelp it was not available for the hours mentioned. Wanted to try their food but wasn't able to. The store that occupies is star catering and cafe. Review is not reflection of food but rather of inconsistent/incorrect posting
