I cannot believe the kind of experience I had at Ike’s Sandwiches when we tried to get quick dinner sandwiches at the Hayward store. The food quality is nothing like any of the other Ike’s stores I’ve been to. We ordered The Sometimes I’m a Vegetarian and The Gladiator Sandwiches. The pesto sauce in both the sauces just tasted stale. What’s worse is that the Gladiator came with eggplant- which was raw through and through, and the breading was barely cooked and tasted only of oil. It was practically unpalatable. I would never never recommend this store to anyone who cares about their health.
Worked here previously let me just say management is horrible, workers in the back don’t wear hairnets simply because “they are in the back” the place is ran by a bunch of teens, who don’t change gloves too often, and RUSH while making sandwiches which explains why they look the way they do. Workers smoke in the freezer where food is stored. Just overall they have no consideration for customers. After working here, I WOULD NOT eat at this location.
