We are from Northern California and just had to stop at Big John’s Saloon in Catherine! I wish we had such a charming and unexpectedly picturesque “Saloon” in Ca. The owner and the three gentlemen at the bar were very friendly and welcoming and the beer was freezing cold! Thank you for welcoming us and hoping to be back soon! Good place to stop and have a few beers and the food is great
Great food, good atmosphere, cozy for a small place, needs to be able to cook more than 1 order at a time, other than that it is good!
We’re from Northern California and couldn’t resist stopping by Big John’s Saloon in Catherine! I really wish we had such a charming and surprisingly beautiful "saloon" back home. The owner and the three gentlemen at the bar were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the beer was ice cold! Thank you for your hospitality; we hope to return soon! P.S. Delicious fresh food! Big John is excellent. It's a bit of a drive from I-70, but definitely worth it.
