Yok Sod - Haymarket

Also known as Yok Sod this was an unusual experience. The service and general organisation was poor but the kitchen did a good job. I had ribs, unusual for a thai restaurant, but the were good quality although the quantity was small. Food prevailed over service.

I just had dinner at iiMA. The food was actually okay. Nothing to write home about but I had the gyoza and gai satay and they were both fine. They only had two red wines by the glass on their menu, I tried each--they were both not so good. The ambiance left a lot of be desired. There was a live musician, but the sound wasn 't very good although they might have been worth listening too. The front of the house looked like an upscale bar, the food area looked more like a cafeteria. There was an outdoor smoking area to which the door was left open so the entire place reaked of stale cig smoke and it was SO loud. Loud like a bar at midnight, but it was dinner at 8pm on a Tuesday. The service was the reason that iiMA got a poor. The waiters were nice enough but completely clueless. Ex. I asked for a water and the waitress came back and quickly slammed a carafe of water and a glass on my table but didn 't actually pour me any water...Not a big thing but an obvious sign they don 't get it. Both times I finished my plate it sat on my table for over 5 minutes before it was cleared. At the end of the night my wine was empty and my plate had been clear, but my waitress didn 't make eye contact with me for 12 minutes after I finished my drink. I tried to flag her down but no dice--I finally had to get up and approach another waiter to get my bill (which then came within seconds). I think this place is okay and if the ambiance and service improve it would be a fine place to have a few drinks and asian style bar food. Unfortunately right now, it 's poor all around.

Thai ninja! Bursting out in flavours of sweet or spicy, each dish has its own signature flavour. The sweet pad see ew, spicy pad ki mao and the sweet and spicy crispy pork belly makes you salivate all the way through the meal. Dark place with bad odor life, people who work very unfriendly there, they loud and look unclean. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The court I'm not so bad and looks very unappetizing.

Love this place. Live acoustics music Monday and Tuesday evening. Amazing menu and fantastic prices. Authentic Thai food with an extensive menu with Bangkok Street style. Come here for the salads and thai noodles!
