Really enjoyed our dinner at this old fave of mine. I’ve been coming to this restaurant on and off for 40 years. Tonight the food was wonderful and the staff were very good. We were out in good time for our show at the Capitol Theatre. View all feedback.
What Stephany Davis doesn't like about Nine Dragons:
We were seated at the table for over 20 minutes before we were approached to give an order even though we were actively trying to gain a waiters attention. A couple who came in at the same time as us actually got their drinks and food before we were able to order. The food was delicious but came before the drinks which really bothers me. Excellent service and ambience with the superb food cooked up. Mixed entrees started our meal and shared mains of sweet and sour pork, mongolian lamb, duck chow mein, fried rice, and a highly.recommend the mango chicken which ive never had before and thoroughly enjoyed. They also offer full bar service with a reasonably priced wine selection.
I like the chinese style ambience. Nice and tidy, staff are friendly. Had fried rice, spring rolls and timsum. Food is around average, taste good but nothing special for me.. Downstairs seems always busying for me but there were no customers upstairs when we went here. erikaannenagaoke.blogspot.com
Old school yum-cha palace, these days distinguished only by their relatively pleasant & helpful wait staff - although this is a precious thing indeed on Dixon Street. Otherwise they have a yum-cha menu with only limited variety & of slightly-better-than-average-OK quality. Maybe for those reasons it never seems to get that crowded at lunchtimes. The competition is tough around here, so you can always get a seat upstairs & enjoy the retreat from the street-level crowds for a while, if you don't mind the 70's muzak soundtracks. I come here quite a lot for yum cha takeaways, I'm too impatient these days to sit & wait at Yum Cha for the one dish I want to maybe come around. 9 Dragons fried beancurd-skin vegetarian rolls (not to be mistaken for the spring rolls) are full of mushrooms & waterchestnuts, and at $6.50 for a serving of 3, are one of my absolute favorite vegetarian snacks anywhere.
Food was amazing! Servixe was excellent! Food came out fast and was exceptional. Very clean restaurant, wouldnt eat anywhere else. Highly recommended!!!
The atmosphere and service were great, the food quality was better than expected and worth the visit. Value for money was high. In a great location.
