Maloney's Hotel - Haymarket

I visited the restaurant on Tuesday, May 23rd. I ordered a parmy, but it was overcooked and dry. Overall, the meal was nothing special. I don't think I'll be returning next time I'm in Sydney.

This was a good place for drinks with friends. I found it unpretentious and friendly with some good wines available. There were lots of couches, chaise longues and armchairs as well as standard pub barstools and other types of seating so that was a bonus.

Today, as I planned to visit a Japanese restaurant on Sunday, I found it closed. Instead, I stumbled upon Maloney's Hotel, an old school Irish bar. I ordered the 250g beef rump steak for A$19.00, which came with fries or mashed potatoes (I chose mashed) and a small salad. This price is unbeatable in the city. I also enjoyed a glass of pinot noir for A$8 with my steak. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly to my medium preference. The restaurant had a mix of tourists and locals. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was not very effective due to the main door being open. I hope the management can address this issue.

We visited this restaurant one evening and decided to return a couple of nights later. They offer a variety of dishes at very reasonable prices.
