Aflare - Haymarket

We booked Sydney Acoustic for an event, but they were highly unprofessional. They abruptly stopped playing music at our event and refused to continue.

We had a good lunch at Aflare. The quality of the food was fine and the service was professionel, friendly and attentive. Restaurants at Sydney Harbour waterfront are expensive, that is why we consider their lunch special as good value. 2 plates of good food, 2 diet cokes and one cappuccino for 48 AUD. Good deal in Sydney!

Hmmmm. We had done the usual Opera House tour and Circular Quay area. We were not looking for a big meal and wanted some rest after wandering around Sydney. Enticed by Aflare, as less crowded but still busy compared to other restaurants. Asked for bottle of mineral water and got tap water (no ice) passed off as designer water....no ice forthcoming. Wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli dip - uncooked, hard...No serviets....No customer service....It was not just us, others were muttering discontent.MacDonalds is better than Aflare....

We had a delightful dinner at this restaurant before going to a late night movie at the nearby Dendy Cinema complex. The pasta was cooked perfectly 'al dente' and the service was friendly. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

Hmm. After taking the usual Opera House tour and walking around Circular Quay, we were in search of a good meal. We decided to stop by Aflare for a little rest. The restaurant was nicely designed and less crowded, although still busy compared to others in the area. We ordered a bottle of mineral water and received tap water (no ice) marketed as designer water... with no ice. The wedges with sour cream and sweet chili dip were undercooked and hard. There was a lack of customer service and others around us also seemed dissatisfied. Honestly, we would have preferred McDonald's over Aflare.
